6 Sparkly + Free SEO Resources

Traffic is the lifeblood of any website but its also important to know that various factors play a role, from your site's landing page to your social media strategy. Here's a list of resources to help you on your way.

1. Bitly

Since 2008, Bitly has been committed to the power of the link. So one can understand that it's one of the most popular URL shorteners, however unknown to most, the real power of this platform comes from its analytics. I love using this little trick - just add “+” at the end of any Bitly URL to see how many times it’s been clicked on, and by whom. ;)

2. Linkstant

There are hundreds of reasons to discover your new links quickly - and it's only possible when Linkstant is monitoring your site. This tool alerts you anytime someone links to your website. Amazing right?

3. Google Alerts

By far one of my favourite resources. I have several Google Alerts set up for my name, my blog name + a few for topics and things I like. You can choose if you want alerts once a day, once a week or as it happens.

4. Opensite Explorer

See what your competitors are doing and see how your sites match up against your competitors. This is also one of those visually attractive resources that you'll love.

5. Pingdom

Pingdom's Website Speed Tool tests the load time of  your website and will give you a quick score too. There's no registration + it's completely free.

6. Hubspot's Blog Topic Generator

Avoid blogger’s block by trying out this fantastic idea-generator to quickly get the creative juices flowing. Keep in mind that the titles might not be 100% perfect for the terms you chose. Feel free to change them up to make them work better for you. We all love a great blog title and remember it's what attracts new readers, and that's where the magic starts.
