The Passionate Life Coach

There is little that inspires me more than taking part in helping amazing woman discover who/why they’re here and ultimately how to create a life & career they love! Hello, I’m Caitlyn, Life & Career Coach, runner, wife, lover of all things inspiring & pretty and it is such a privilege to be featured here on Victoria’s gorgeous blog!

As a Life Coach, I am passionate about people, their dreams and making them a reality. I have my honours in Clinical Psych but new I had found my DREAM job, when I did my Life Coaching accreditation through Results Coaching Systems in 2011. My passions are plentiful (as I’m sure yours are too), and so I currently have my hand in a fair share of creative projects, new courses being developed as well as my coaching and lecturing at Varsity College too.

Every day in my life looks different so it’s hard to give you the run down, but in saying that there are certain non-negotiables that always creep in somewhere.
  • Like a morning run or workout.
  • Time spent in my home office; either lecture planning, blogging or course creating.
  • Inspiring chats with my amazing clients.
  • Time with my husband.
  • Water. (lots of it)
  • And a piece of choccie. I’m all about being true to your cravings
I’m a morning person so after my 5am run with my super-cool-running group, I usually indulge in some quiet-time followed by time spent on social media, emails, and my sparkly, brand new website, Caitlyn de Beer. With that said, by 11am I’m usually in need of a little pick-me-up… Did you say coffee? You got it! Well, tea actually, a snack (usually something healthy & nutritious) and some time spent in the sun. Nature rejuvenates my soul. Full stop. So time spent outside is by far the best strategy I have to keep my positive thoughts & creative ideas flowing.

At the moment, I am spending a lot of time working with teenagers which truth be told, I love. Big dreams wrapped in a blanket of low self image, indecision and boundless potential makes me smile inside, as I know that with time I’ll get the privilege of watching my client embrace who they are and go live the beautiful life they were destined to!

My buzzword this year is “Happiness”… could you tell? But no really, it is. Happiness is a habit that I’m learning to cultivate. To prioritise happiness is to choose to love life again; to look for the good, to zone in on all that we’re grateful for. It’s not a goal, it’s a lifestyle, and I love that!

Along these lines, here’s what I’m currently obsessed with on the social media front.

1. Ted talks - Shaun Achor is a firm favorite of mine.

2. Natalie Lussier - AMAZINGLY inspiring entrepreneur.

3. Lauren Conrad - I’m SO not a celebrity-follower, but this girl has created a super successful company (we can all learn a thing or two from her)

4. Coffeeandcake - Pips’ blog keeps me in the loop on new coffee shops to try out.

Lastly, if you’re reading this and your heart is beating faster and you’re like “Oh my goodness, I want to help people love their lives too” – then you’re more than welcome to drop me a line & I can give you more info in terms of qualifying as Life Coach. The opportunities are endless but as with most things, there are obviously courses with differing levels of international recognition and I’d be more than happy to share some of those with you! :)

Happiness to you...
