Schwarzkopf Gliss Intense Therapy Mask

120 years ago, chemist Hans Schwarzkopf laid the foundations for a truly international brand that stands for quality, reliability, expertise and innovation. Today, Schwarzkopf is a global pioneer in hair cosmetics and it’s clear to see why. They have such a fantastic selection of high-quality products for just about any hair type. It’s all about modern creativity, not necessarily following trends but expressing your own individuality with confidence.

I’ve recently embraced that modern creativity with the Schwarzkopf Live Ultra Brights/Pastel in Purple Punk, see full review here. Today’s review, however, is all about the new Schwarzkopf Gliss Intense Therapy Mask with Keratin Serum and Omega Plex. It’s specially formulated for over-processed hair, tresses that have been exposed to a lot of heat styling and colouring.

The Schwarzkopf Gliss Intense Therapy Mask promises to reconstruct bonds within the hair fibres and to give it long-lasting protection. To keep my pixie hairstyle looking fresh, (I recently added a faded undercut at the back) I have to go for regular cuts, therefore you won’t find serious damage or split ends on my head. However, the longer strands on top of my crown have been exposed to a lot of hair colouring and daily flat ironing which has left it feeling dryer than usual.

And the Schwarzkopf Gliss Intense Therapy Mask has been a lifesaver. Whenever I use this product my hair appears stronger and shinier, I would love for it to have more bounce as well but, to be fair it wasn’t created for that purpose. The consistency is very rich and thick and should be applied once a week and not more in my opinion.

There’s a definite change in the appearance of my hair, in the past, there was a lot of breakage as my hair tends to get brittle with a lot of heat styling. It feels stronger and even thicker.

I love the deep almost metallic purple pot which gives it a very luxurious look. Because the product is so thick and my hair is this short it appears that I will continue to use it for a good amount of time. Like, yay for short hair! Available at Clicks for R89.99

Look out for my next post where I’ll be reviewing the Schwarzkopf Gliss Million Gloss Oil Replacement hair product.

This product was sponsored by Schwarzkopf but review and thoughts are my own.
