Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream

A little while ago I attended the Burt’s Bees South Africa launch at the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. The story of how the brand started is very inspiring and sweet as it began in Maine about 30 years ago. Burt, the actual Beekeeper was happily selling honey from the back of his truck however, fate had other ideas for the bearded hero when he met Roxanne Quimby.

Burt and Roxanne hit it off and before long she was making candles with the unused wax from Burt’s beehives. So, from those original candles, to the iconic Beeswax Lip Balm. To over 180 products - Burt’s Bees has been guided by a single principle: Nature has the best answers. Read their full story here.

I’ve been using the Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream and I love the texture, smell and consistency. In my opinion, it’s not greasy at all and it absorbs well into my skin. The thick buttery cream feels so luxurious - I really like how it appears to just melt away on my hands. Leaving it soft and pampered.

I do all house chores and laundry myself and after a while, your hands tend to look a bit scruffy however, since using Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream it's a lot smoother than before. Also, it’s definitely one of those creams where a little goes a long way.

Like mentioned before, this hand cream smells amazing and as someone that’s into gourmand fragrances, this one is right up my alley. It is made of Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, and Natural Beeswax to moisturise dry hands, elbows, knees even feet.

I never knew that nutty almond could smell this delicious in a beauty product, it reminds me of decadently baked goods. Like can I just have a slice of cake with almond frosting?

I also love that all of this goodness comes in a recyclable 57g glass jar which I’ll definitely put into good use afterwards. Burt’s Bees don’t test on animals and they make use vegetable-based inks on their packaging.  On average, Burt’s Bees products are 99% natural with over half of the products 100% natural.

Burt’s Bees believes you’re at your most beautiful when what you put on your body is from nature - after all, what goes on to your body goes into your body. Their products are currently available at Takealot.

The Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream was a gift from Burt's Bees South Africa but review and opinions are my own.
